Eaden Yarns specializes in fine yarns and fibres, hand painted in soft, dreamy colours that compliment the softness of wool, silk, bamboo and other fibres we use.
Eaden Yarns is owned by Kristina Stacey and is based in Hove, East Sussex, UK.
Kristina has been knitting and crocheting since early childhood and comes from a family of women who always have a craft project on the go, more often several craft projects at the same time and she is no different. Kristina adores working with fine yarns and knits a lot of lace, mostly shawls, scarfs and socks.
Kristina: ”I started dyeing my own yarn in 2010 and spinning in 2012 and haven’t looked back since. I find working with colour, texture, various fibres, animal as well as plant based ones endlessly fascinating. Having spent the last decade working in fashion retail management and being surrounded by mass produced clothing and accessories, I feel very fortunate to be able to pursue a career that focuses on handmade items and natural, sustainable materials.”
Hand dyed yarn and fibre
All of our yarn and fibre is hand painted or kettle dyed in small batches, using professional Acid and Procion MX dyes. We use our own hand dyed fibre and yarn daily for our own crafting, so it has been tested vigorously. We do our best to be kind to the environment during the dyeing process and make sure the dye is exhausted and remaining water neutralized before it is discarded.
